Less than four minutes away from our beautiful Regency Hotel, the Buttercup Cake Shop is one of my favourite places to grab a scrumptious bite, or two, of something sweet. One of the best things about Kensington is the village feel in the middle of this big city of London. I just adore the tight knit community feel one experiences while walking the streets of Kensington.

You will definitely see what I am talking about when on your way out of the Regency Hotel on your way to the Buttercup. This charming privately owned cake shop prides themselves in their “seriously addictive” treats. Donna, the founder, has been perfecting her recipes since eight years old, when she would help her granny. The shop always has the classics, vanilla, chocolate, red velvet, coconut, fantasy, and banana available, with new delicious flavours mixed in each day.

I cannot tell you how often my guests return with a box of unbelievable cupcakes to enjoy for the rest of their trip. This shop continuously performs at a professional level which the Regency Hotel and I commend. It is the perfect combination of my loves of Kensington, friendliness and of course cake!

Families love taking an afternoon stroll out of the hotel down to the Buttercup. With less than five minutes away from the Regency Hotel, children cannot get enough of the decadent cakes, and the adults can enjoy the vibrant village atmosphere adored by all those who are familiar with Kensington.
